Cute Baby Badgers Crawling All Over Their Mom in Yellowstone National Park

Two baby American Badgers crawl all over their mom at their den site in the tall grass. The mother badger is patient and allows her cubs to explore, but she is also always close by to protect them.

Baby badgers are called cubs. They are born blind and helpless, and stay with their mother in and near the den for about 12 weeks. After that, they start to venture out on their own, but they continue to rely on their mother for food and protection for another few months. In North America, baby badgers are sometimes called “kits”. However, the term “cub” is more commonly used for baby badgers in both Europe and North America.

This video is a heartwarming reminder of the bond between a mother badger and her cubs. It is also a glimpse into the early life of these fascinating creatures.
