A Coues Deer buck in an oak forested canyon in Southern Arizona. Coues Deer are a subspecies of white-tailed deer that are native to the desert southwest and Arizona. Bucks are about 30 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh up to 100 pounds. For those of you familiar with white-tailed deer, check out his different tail in photo #2.
