Tourists were laughing at me when they stopped their cars to ask what I was waiting for in Hayden Valley and I told them an ermine. They don’t understand how much harder it is to see an ermine than wolves or grizzlies when you live here in the GYE (Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem). I waited for multiple hours over a 2 day period to capture this photo of the elusive ermine in its white winter coat.
