A Rare Sighting of a Long-Eared Owl in Yellowstone

I caught a brief glimpse of my first Long-eared owl in Yellowstone back in May of this year. I wanted to try and get closer for a better angle and more photos with less tree branches, but I didn’t want to disturb the owl, so I left it alone.
