I waited a couple of hours for this mountain goat herd to stop grazing and lie down to rest in the afternoon light of the Beartooth Mountains. The road that we are able to see the goats from is called the Beartooth Highway. It just closed for the season and doesn’t reopen until late May 2025. I look forward to seeing this mountain goat herd again with their new kids (born in mid-late May) and this kid becoming a young adult.
